feren OS 2017.0 Wallpaper Contest Submission Page on FlickrThe VERY FIRST ever wallpaper contest for feren OS 2017.0 has begun with a Flickr page waiting for submissions ready for the contest! This contest will last until the 28th February 2017 so get those submissions in quick for a chance to have your wallpapers featured in feren OS 2017.0! RulesLicenses: Your license is the permission you grant others to redistribute your artwork. If you tell me I don't have permission to give feren the right to redistribute your artwork then I will respect your wishes as long as you don't post that artwork on the group and withhold the use of that artwork as that creates a massive amount of overhead through screening, removal, and notification. The following licenses are not acceptable because they do not allow Ubuntu to share your photos with others: - Copyright This gives feren no permission at all to share your photos with its users and allow them to reshare your photos as well. - CC-BY-NC, CC-BY-SA-NC feren OS could turn into a commercial product, therefore, a Creative Commons non-commercial license automatically prevents feren from possibly using your photo in the future. In addition, feren allows users and developers to use feren OS for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial. These licenses would prevent feren OS from giving its desktop users the freedom to use feren OS for any purpose they desire feren OS is made up of Free Software and Open Source Software and the Free Culture Showcase is a way to celebrate open culture and sharing by highlighting artists who have chosen to share photos by releasing them under a Creative Commons license. This allows others (including feren OS) to share your photos with others. The following licenses are acceptable for this contest: - CC-BY, CC-BY-SA, CC-0 I respect the hard work that went into creating your submissions and want to respect your wishes as to how your photos are used. NSFW Artwork: NSFW Artwork is simply not allowed by any means on the Photo Pool and will be removed if found. Competition Date: The competition will run until the end of February where the best of the wallpapers will then be added into feren OS 2017.0. Types of wallpaper that can't be allowed: 1. Low-quality wallpapers 2. Branding in the way of wallpaper wallpapers 3. Text in Wallpapers that you want people to read because people aren't probably gonna see it anyways 4. Well, to make it easier to differentiate Unstable and Stable builds of feren OS, you will notice that from 2017.0 onwards, there will be some differences to it's Stable brother...
