Yep, it's that time again to recap on what's happened at feren throughout 2016. Though, this year has, for once, been more eventful than the previous, here's to 2017! 1. feren OS 2016.1The first *working* version of feren OS, which is 2016.1, was released to the public, bring originally called 2015.3 as it started development in Late 2015 and it featured a few improvements, but the main change was bug fixes, everywhere. This release fixed good knows how many bugs from 2015.X BETA to be exact. 2. feren OS 2015 diedWith a heavy heart, I had to pull the plug from 2015.X BETA due to the end of support for Ubuntu 15.04, which was its base at the time. Though, something else happened internally that'd be more heart-breaking then anything possible later on near December that year. 3. feren OS 2016.2Also known as feren OS's heyday, 2016.2 introduced so many improvements, a new wallpaper structure with credits included on the wallpapers, an improved icon set made to look even better than ever while also following user feedback on the previous version and also filling in more missing icons to the Inspire icon set, many new and updated themes, a new Arc-based feren GTK that melted in with the titlebar theme and used the feren Blue colour (#006aff) on everything blue on the normal Arc theme, and much, much more in terms of improvements. Thanks to this release, feren OS became very popular among users, and idiots alike, though, the only downside to this release would be the ISO size of 3.6GB, even when using the maximum SQUASHFS compression (for those noobs out there, a squashfs file in ISOs most likely will contain the whole OS itself compressed A LOT inside of it)... 4. feren OS 2016.2 Update 1This release was nothing more than a bug-fixing release with not so many visual improvements on the field except an updated Windows 10 Theme Set and updated OS X El Capitan theme. Also, this release was an effort to fix the mouse "jittering" bug many users have encountered on PCs so far... 5. feren OS 2016.2 Update 2This was the last event of anything in 2016, and one of the biggest, in fact, I can almost say this could also be known as 2016.3 because of how much was changed with this update, some of the changes include some themes getting updated including the feren Theme Set which was revamped on to work on Cinnamon 3.2 as well as 3.0, the major update of the Windows 7 and Vista themes bringing a more legit orb hack into the mix from the Cinnamon theme 'ORBWin', a new theme 'Chrome OS' in Themer being brung into the mix, Mint Sources now calling the OS 'feren OS' rather than 'Linux Mint', and much, much more... Overall, 2016 was a mixed year with feren OS getting one of the first ever heydays as well as major improvements!feren
