Fix - Google Chrome PPA has "changed its ‘Origin’ value from ‘Google, Inc.’ to ‘Google LLC'" (Error)
So, just like many other Feren OS Users have been probably facing, there's an issue with the Google Chrome PPA for users that have had it up until now where, during your average APT Refresh to Check for Updates and the like, you've seen this message:
E: Repository ‘http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome-remote-desktop/deb stable Release’ changed its ‘Origin’ value from ‘Google, Inc.’ to ‘Google LLC’
N: This must be accepted explicitly before updates for this repository can be applied. See apt-secure(8) manpage for details.
Fortunately, there's a really easy way to fix this error: Just do the following:
1. Open up a Terminal
To do this, open up your applications menu and search for 'Terminal'. Once it's found, open it up, and proceed.
2. Run the following commands with no quotes:
sudo apt update
You'll need to authenticate with Sudo Privileges to perform the package operations, hence the need to be an administrator. If you don't know what a Sudo Password is, it's the exact same password as the password used to log in as the user it wants the '[sudo] password' for.
If done correctly, you'll get the following prompt:
Do you want to accept these changes and continue updating from this repository? [y/N]
If you do get the prompt, simply type y, and hit ENTER, and from that point on the issue should no longer occur on that installation.
