Yep, finally, after lots of improvements, refinements, updates, additions and so on, I'm proud to announce feren OS 2016.2 Update 2. This is the BIGGEST update to feren OS 2016.2 so far, and it comes with many, many improvements to the total look and feel.

New Features

New Theme Set: Chrome OS

You can now get a Chrome OS look and feel in your feren OS machine thanks to a new theme set added to Themer which will give you a more-Chrome OS looking look and feel on your feren OS machine. Credits to Elbullazul for the themes itself...

New Extension: Transparent Panels

Transparent Panels is an extension used for the 'feren' Cinnamon theme and others in this update allowing for the panel going opaque when a window is maximised, all controlled by a theme-maker. This also means that now if you disable the extension, you'll have an opaque panel option.

Updates to themes:

Windows Vista & 7:

The Windows Vista and 7 themes get a big noticable update with this release with the addition of a working start orb that can stick out of the panel if made small enough. Credits to Microsoft for the Start Orb resources and Elbullazul for the theme (Also modded by me for all kinds of wallpaper (Also Updated))

Windows XP:

The Windows XP Silver and Olive Themes got their first ever update since the birth of feren OS with more-XP-like themes replacing 'Mint-XP' on Cinnamon. These themes now look even better than before and can be used the good-old way through Themer.

macOS and Ubuntu:

These themes got the ability to have Locally Integrated Menus inside the panel itself when you use them through Themer as well as getting some other minor updates to their theme sets.

feren Tablet Mode

Tablet Mode has seen the most impressive of updates, with a complete new feel and layout, and this theme also (like others) takes advantage of Transparent Panels to make the panels black when a full-screen window is opened. This theme looks even better than before with this release.

feren (Desktop) Themes:

The Desktop Versions of 'feren' Cinnamon have also recieved major improvements to everything from workspaces to OSD, and can also make use of Transparent Panels in a similar way to how Windows Vista's Aero did which adds to the beauty of the whole OS. Also, all 'feren' themes have updates to Slingshot to look even more consistent with this release.

3.1 theme:

The Windows 3.1 theme now has its own Cinnamon and GTK themes that look closer to what the real thing would've looked like.

New Wallpapers:

feren OS has 4 new wallpapers including 3 by YouTube channel Linux and Other Stuff:

Mint Sources now identifies the OS as 'feren OS':

Mint Sources will now identify the OS as 'feren OS' at the top of the window rather than 'Linux Mint' and will show feren OS's codename instead now too.

Themer fixes:

Themer has been refined in the way it organises Applets when applying a theme in the hope of it causing less crashes in the future to Cinnamon.

Keyrings fixes:

Some of you will know about this bug in the previous version of feren OS, but now, it's finally GONE for good. Now, you'll only get one prompt to optionally add a password to your keyring and then, if you left them unencrypted, you'll never have to see the dialog ever again!

YlmfOS Icon Set fixed:

The good old YlmfOS Icon Set used in XP themes has been fixed by the leader of the B00merang Project and is patched in this version too now.
