But not everything is lost, there's still a solution to it's death, that is to run the 'Upgrade to 16.04' Application if it's there, if it isn't, your safe, your still supported by Ubuntu repositories... Today sees the end of an era, the era of Non-LTS based feren OS releases being supported by Ubuntu, 2016.2 onwards, it will be LTS and LTS only. Farewell feren OS 2016.1, you will be very sorely missed, you were one of the best releases of feren OS so far, you even had working WiFi! Your only problem, you had a non-LTS base as a sacrifice to use the latest needed GTK Engine that day. Q&A:Why kill it?We had no choice, once Ubuntu killed 15.10 which was 2016.1's base OS, it's effectively killed 2016.1 and other distros based off of Ubuntu 15.10 too because EOL means no more updates of any kind in the official repositories, and then eventually, other repositories will get bored of updating 15.10 and then will practically follow suit. I haven't yet installed it, what is different if I do?After installation, you MUST follow the steps shown on the How To Upgrade site ASAP to stay up-to-date with the latest Security Updates, Application fixes, etc. How do I know if I'm safe?Look in your Applications Menu and search for 'Upgrade to 16.04'. If it's there, you MUST follow the steps shown on the How To Upgrade site ASAP, but if it isn't, then you've already upgraded to an LTS base and you're safe from this End Of Life of 15.10
