While this may not be the final Feren OS April 2019 Snapshot ISO Release announcement, today I'm happy to announce that a new Testing ISO is now available on the Feren OS Development Releases SourceForge Page which features all the changes brought to Feren OS up until today since January Snapshot, as well as featuring a new installer* replacing Ubiquity. *The new installer will only be in the 64-Bit ISO, 32-Bit will have to wait it out for now until next year's July Snapshot (maybe) Either way, before I give a download link to those interested in testing the ISO, I'd like to mention a few things first: - This is not a final representation of April Snapshot - Welcome Screen, the background set, and more are still yet to receive their April Snapshot updates, and also do not have their April Snapshot updates in this ISO yet, for one - The 'INSTALL NOW' button won't work in Welcome Screen - a fix has already been implemented however to this in the April Snapshot Welcome Screen update (not released yet), so don't worry about reporting that bug - The GTK2 Feren OS Light Theme is still pure white, which will also be reflected in the new installer - this will be fixed closer to the actual April 2019 Snapshot release - Use 'Send Feedback' if you've got bugs to report... or just let me know on the Discord Server or on Twitter, either way let me know about any other bugs in this ISO outside of those already mentioned in Release Notes for Feren OS in general and the ones mentioned above. With that in mind, if you would like to test Feren OS April 2019 Snapshot before it's complete, mainly to test the implementation of the new choice of installer (Calamares) in Feren OS, click the button below to download a 2.2GB ISO of the April 2019 Snapshot updates in an ISO so far: I'd appreciate as many people testing this ISO out and letting me know of any bugs or other issues introduced with this ISO Update as possible, and thanks in advance to those that do check this Pre-completion ISO out. Thanks everyone, I cannot wait to release the completed April 2019 Snapshot ISO later this month! The Feren OS Developer
