And so the bird flies to the heaven of dead Operating Systems to rest in peace...
That's right, after only a couple of months since the release of it, feren OS 2015.X is now no more. We were forced to do this for a number of reasons, bugs, age and also because it's based off of Ubuntu 15.04 (which is not an LTS and was only supported for 9 months). Canonical, the company behind Ubuntu, killed Ubuntu 15.04 today which meant that I was left with the only option to announce that feren OS 2015.X is also dead because once an Ubuntu version EOLs, it gets it's Repositories removed and moved to http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ which of course causes LOTS of problems with their System(s) running the OS such as 404 errors when updating the cache, no more updates of any kind (apart from custom repositories that still support it) and worst of all, no fixes for security bugs or patches. All of that adds up to a whole lot of trouble for the user. I can only tell people that are still using Ubuntu 15.04 that 'I warned you'... Darn, we were so close to releasing that ISO for the 2015.X users but the only thing that was stopping us was with user creation... >.< >.< >.<
It's great making something for the community that might become quite big and remain for a very long time to continue serving the community and helping Linux as a result.
