Warning: Major changes ahead!
1. Unity 8 and Mir
In Ubuntu 16.XX, it's been planned for MIR to arrive as an option to Ubuntu users alongside the Display Server currently in use called 'X.Org' as well as a new 'Converged' Unity 8 desktop designed around Ubuntu Touch and Mouse/Keyboard input that can adapt to how the device is used, say no mice are found on the device, Unity 8 will adapt and make Windows full-screen on that device... That's Convergence.
2. A new login screen (built around Unity 8)
A new Ubuntu Greeter has been caught on video showing the next-gen Unity Greeter login screen in action which reveals that the lock screen of Ubuntu Touch is coming but designed for a bigger screen and designed around the OLD Ubuntu Unity Greeter that's currrently used.
3. A NEW Installer
Yes, you heard right, a NEW installer. Canonical has recently revealed a new set of Design Concepts which seem to show what is a new look Ubuntu Installer. The concepts show and Android Lollipop OOBE-like screen where you then follow the steps in the current installer (like before) in a heavily revamped and full-screen installer screen. If you look in more detail, you also find that the Ubuntu Wallpaper will fill the heading background as well as contain the system icons (like in Lollipop) and a simpler layout but more possible steps of installation.
Most of this will also come to feren OS since feren OS is based off of Ubuntu.
It's great making something for the community that might become quite big and remain for a very long time to continue serving the community and helping Linux as a result.
